” We delight in the beauty of the butterfly,
but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.”
– Maya Angelou
I am moved to post this here in homage to the alchemy of things. The butterfly is such a universal totem for women in our journeys because it is so feminine, light, free, bringing colour and joy in its dance. It is unstoppable in its energy and it is innocent. I wonder if you are aware that in order for the butterfly to transform from its former self, it liquifies, almost entirely, into a soup of potential. It releases an enzyme that digests itself. Only some memory cells remain. From this cosmic soup the potential of a butterfly is latent. This symbology is powerful for the understanding of the internal, spiritual and psychological process that women go through to rebirth themselves. Also it explains how the external environment we live in will reflect this liquefaction.
As I have prefaced before,
” Maybe nothing is supposed to survive the fire.”

We are born naked and we need to be reborn naked. You can’t bring anything with you if you want to build something new.
Buckminster Fuller articulates it so well.
“You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”
― Buckminster Fuller
So let it fall away, burn away, be smashed. Let it unravel, dissolve, turn to dusk, turn to soup, turn to nothing. Empty out your hands, your pockets, your old way of being and create a vacuum for all that is waiting for you in escrow to be claimed.
