EVERYDAY I celebrate my life as a women and the unique expression afforded to me in my true nature and in my gender.
Every day I experience the undercurrent of an outdated system that is eroding away in the wake of women stepping into our power and men stepping into theirs.
EVERYDAY I see the prejudice that has its claws in our rights to be autonomous, our opportunities to be financially empowered, in our rights over our body and our sexuality and our rights over our birthing and our dying.
EVERYDAY I see how we explore our sexuality to claim back our power in ways healing and I see how we as women have each others backs.
EVERYDAY I see how women have been written out of the history books and Everyday I enjoy the fruits of the fire of womanhood that burns brightin women everywhere.
Women have been thrown in the river with rocks in our pockets, had our children taken from us for speaking of our equality to men, had our sex cut off and sewn up, burned in the fire. We have had our bodies legislated and have learnt to live on 75% of a $1.
“Feminism has never been about getting a job for one woman. It’s about making life more fair for women everywhere. It’s not about a piece of the existing pie; there are too many of us for that. It’s about baking a new pie.”
― Gloria Steinem
We love our daughters, we love our sons, we love our men.
We thrive in the circle of sisterhood.
Wave after wave we stand on the shoulders of the lineage of women before us who have trailed new veins and arteries in their name and the name of their daughters and sons. Wave after wave of women being slaughtered, drugged, outcast, slandered, tortured, murdered, humiliated and committed women have held the internal vision that is inevitable. And wave after wave women have risen, Risen RISEN into the vision of our human and divine equality with the every day choices we make and the voice that we share loud and clear.
WE rise through the places and people we walk away from and the people we walk towards.
WE rise through the underworld of self-revelation and self-emancipation. Through creating and living a new perception of our own selves, of our kind and of a vision of freedom for all.
WE rise when we claim our orgasm for our own pleasure.
WE rise when we learn to know the truth of ourselves and our sheer importance.
WE rise when we see our wholeness and worth.
WE rise when we lean into one another and put our hand out for one another in union and communion.
EVERYDAY I take my place in the circle of sisterhood
EVERYDAY WOMEN RISE and everyday I celebrate this.

A HEARTFELT MESSAGE TO MY BROTHERS
ABOUT HOW WE TREAT WOMEN.
By Robert Rabbin
“Visionary feminism is a wise and loving politics. It is rooted in the love of male and female being, refusing to privilege one over the other. The soul of feminist politics is the commitment to ending patriarchal domination of women and men, girls and boys. Love cannot exist in any relationship that is based on domination and coercion. Males cannot love themselves in patriarchal culture if their very self-definition relies on submission to patriarchal rules. When men embrace feminist thinking and preactice, which emphasizes the value of mutual growth and self-actualization in all relationships, their emotional well-being will be enhanced. A genuine feminist politics always brings us from bondage to freedom, from lovelessness to loving.”
~ Bell Hooks
